About Protest.Photos
Protest.Photos is a citizen-powered archive of protest imagery from across the United States. This site exists to preserve, document, and make visible the movements that shape our time. Every image you see here has been submitted by the public, tagged by location and date, and organized in a fashion so that the truth remains accessible for now and for the future.
This project is funded and maintained by me, a small business owner who believes in the power of the people to speak and resist. It is, frankly, ridiculous (though not surprising) that ordinary individuals like us are expected to carry the burden of keeping the public informed. But we will do it anyway.
Because the truth matters. Because our stories matter. Because if we don’t preserve them, who will?
If you would like to support this work or contribute images, you can do so through the upload form. All submissions are reviewed before being made public.
Thank you for being here.
